Everyone tells you to enjoy your children while they are little because sooner or later they will grow up. Zach and I are still trying to figure out where the past 5 years have gone. That couldn't really be our little girl who just started kindergarten could it?
With tear fillled eyes and heavy hearts we walked Aspen into her first day of kindergarten. Of course, as far as Aspen was concerned we were nothing but excited for her. This was her big day, her day to shine. She had waited for this day for over a year and she was ready. For Zach and I that day would come much to soon. We vowed not to shed any tears in front of her. However the minute we left her in that tiny, child size desk, all bets were off. Once my tears started, they wouldn't stop. It was evident on both our faces that our hearts were breaking. Our little girl, who still seems much to young to be in school, is growing up!
